2011 Scholarship Application

 

Each year the Executive Board of Directors of the Texas International Fishing Tournament selects outstanding young people to receive $2,000 scholarships. 2012 Scholarship Application.

 

In 2011, the Board awarded 10 scholarships at $2,000 each--an increase of three from the previous year. Students must submit a scholarship application form, essay, photo and transcript of their grades for consideration. Recipients are selected on the basis of tournament involvement and related volunteer work, grades and financial needs. The program is funded through TIFT and the TIFT Endowment Fund, Inc.--a perpetual nonprofit scholarship fund.

 

Applications (2012 Scholarship Application) for each year's program will be mailed to all anglers older than 16 years registered in the 2011 tournament and will be posted on the TIFT website as well.  For more information, contact Tournament Director Betty Wells at (956) 943-8438 or by email at info@tift.org.
